Jun. 17--SPARTA -- No less than five drivers left Saturday night's NASCAR Busch Series race at Kentucky Speedway wondering might have been.
But not Stephen Leicht.
The 20-year-old development driver passed Scott Wimmer, then Brad Coleman with 12 laps to go and drove away from the field. The Asheville, N.C., native claimed his first Busch victory driving a car owned by Robert Yates Racing in front of an announced crowd of 70,419.
"We were in the right position at the right time," Leicht said, "and we were able to capitalize on it. ... Those were the longest 10 laps of my life."
