Jun. 17--EVERY SNAPSHOT OF THE PHILLIES -- every attempt to capture them this season -- comes out a little blurry. They have been terrible, they have been so-so, they have been promising, they have been good, and back again and back again and on and on.
Before the Detroit Tigers came to Citizens Bank Park this weekend, the Phillies had won nine of their previous 12 games, climbing to a season-high four games over .500 and standing just two behind the division-leading Mets.
One game later, after Friday's meltdown by Jon Lieber, the picture was getting blurry again. Which team were they? The one capable of stringing together ...
