COUNTRYSIDE: Your magazine always has something useful in it. Thanks to Jeff Gerken and his tire holder for the water bucket. My husband made one immediately and now the calves don't dump their water and it really does help the water not to freeze so fast. One night the bucket was still half full at dark. By morning the temperature was -6[degrees]F, but the water wasn't completely frozen so was easy to dump out of the bucket. Has he tried it to see if the water stays cooler in the summer? We thought that maybe the hay would act as an insulator against the heat, too.
I have a question for anyone who lives in the northeast part of the country. What kind of apple ...
