HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Sears Auto Centers announced a first-ever used battery recycling program that helps children in electric wheelchairs -- and cleans up the environment at the same time.
The new "Batteries for Kids" program kicks off with a special "Recycling Pays at Sears Weekend" Feb. 16-20 (this Thursday through next Monday). The recycling program encourages the return of all brands of old car, motorcycle, boat and tractor lead-acid batteries to any of the 770 Sears Auto Centers nationwide.
For teaming up with Sears, participants will receive a crisp one dollar bill for each battery returned this weekend (there is no limit on the number of ...
