PALO ALTO, Calif. -- HP (NYSE:HPQ) today announced that its German subsidiary, Hewlett-Packard GmbH, has filed a second lawsuit against Pelikan Hardcopy Deutschland GmbH, in which it alleges misleading advertising.
The first lawsuit, alleging patent infringement, seeks to prevent Pelikan from selling color inkjet print cartridges that infringe HP patents.
This new lawsuit, filed in Cologne District Court, alleges unfair competition violations by Pelikan and relates to the packaging of Pelikan-branded color inkjet print cartridges sold as H06 and H08. The packaging for these cartridges describes the cartridges as "remanufactured." Tests by HP indicate, ...
