Oakmont, Pa. -- The PGA Tour's longest hitter who carries pink headcovers and an antsy man contending in golf's greatest contest of patience, Bubba Watson brings his powerful swing and so many paradoxes into this afternoon's final pairing at the 107th U.S. Open.
He will play today with second-round leader Angel Cabrera, whose closing birdie late Friday at Oakmont Country Club moved the 36-hole cut line by a shot and abruptly sent 19 players, including hurting Phil Mickelson, home for the weekend.
