Jun. 17--So Michael Nifong "tearfully" -- imagine that, a man who tried to destroy not only the athletic careers but the very lives of members of Duke University's lacrosse team shed tears over his own politically motivated and contemptuous legal conduct -- resigned his Durham, N.C., district attorney position Friday, and then on Saturday had his right to practice law in North Carolina stripped.
Mr. Nifong, a caricature of the publicity seeking, power motivated lawyers who aspire to and attain political office, was the key player in the Duke "rape" case, which came about because a female exotic dancer who performed for the lacrosse ...
