HANOI, June 19 Asia Pulse - Vietnam and Spain have agreed to step up co-operation in the fisheries industry following the signing of a memorandum of understanding in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday.
The MoU was inked by Deputy Minister of Fisheries Luong Le Phuong and Secretary General Juan Carlos Martin Fragueiro of Spain's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
The two sides will work toward promoting sustainable development of the fisheries, aquaculture and seafood trades of each country through co-operation in related techniques, technologies and surveillance activities.
