BALTIMORE, Feb. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Jardine Fleming China Region Fund, Inc. (NYSE: JFC), a closed-end investment company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, reported a 38.9% decline in net asset value for the year ended December 31, 1994. The return includes reinvestment of dividends paid since inception on July 16, 1992, but excludes the dilutive effect of the rights offering completed January 5, 1994.
The share price on the NYSE at the end of December 1994 was U.S.$11.25, down from U.S.$26.00 on December 31, 1993. Total net assets at the end of 1994 were U.S.$114.5 million compared to U.S.$162.8 million a year ago.
