Article: Arco asks state officials to intervene in dispute over Prudhoe Bay NGLs. (Arco Alaska Inc., natural gas liquids)

WASHINGTON -- Arco Alaska Inc. has asked state regulators to step into the simmering dispute over natural gas liquid (NGL) production from the Prudhoe Bay field.

The request was made in a letter dated Tuesday to Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (AOGCC) Chairman David W. Johnston.

Although Alaska generally allows oil and gas companies to make their own development decisions, the AOGCC can intervene to prevent waste or increase field recovery.
