Jun. 17--After 25 years, Julie Bartlett is ready for a new adventure.
Her store on North Leroux Street, Favorites to Wear, is a popular downtown destination to buy a new dress or some jewelry.
And Bartlett herself has became an icon, relentlessly pushing to change the face of the downtown for the better.
She leaves the area better than when she first encountered it 25 years ago -- a blighted area full of bars and empty shops.
The reason for leaving, Bartlett says, is a confluence of a dozen different things, but mostly a desire to pursue passions, including her art and a desire to see the world.
