HOLDEN - After nearly 80 minutes of discussion, selectmen voted last night to increase the trash collection fees from $13 to $15 a month for residents who will be using a 65-gallon trash container, and continue an $11 a month fee for customers using a 35-gallon trash container.
Town Manager Brian J. Bullock and Dennis J. Lipka, growth management director, had recommended that the fee for hauling away trash from the 35-gallon container be increased from $11 to $13.
Selectman David J. White argued against increasing the fee for the 35-gallon trash receptacle. The smaller container is used mostly by senior citizens, who ...
