How many marketers does it take to change a light bulb?
When it comes to getting people to switch from incandescent bulbs to energy-saving compact fluorescents, we're still waiting for the answer.
Compact fluorescents (CFLs), after a generation of promotion by utilities and lighting makers, finally have started to catch on in homes in Minnesota and across the nation. An estimated 200 million CFL bulbs went into sockets in U.S. homes last year - 50 percent more than in 2000, according to the National Electrical Manufacturers Association in Rosslyn, Va.
