Jun. 20--Martin McDonagh's visceral Irish thriller "The Beauty Queen of Leenane" is famous for an act of onstage violence. In a decent production -- and Sheldon Patinkin's shrewd little revival at the tiny Gift Theatre is most assuredly that -- the hairs on your arm start to tingle in anticipation of the nastiness in the kitchen. And when painful contact inevitably gets made, here in Connemara, County Galway? Ideally, you empathize with the perpetrator and suffer with the victim.
