MODERN but homely, this Marston's Pub has a chill-out area decked out with black leather seats.
And, when it's cold, there's an open log fire in the bar to relax in before or after your meal.
The restaurant features chunky wooden furniture and a number of accolades, too.
As well as boasting an AA rosette, chef/patron Jeff Thomas was honoured in this year's British Cookery Championships' Gastro Pub category to follow its third place in the 2005 Taste of Staffordshire Restaurant of the Year awards.
My husband and I paid a midweek visit and the food was both tasty and well presented.
