The Peanut Pals are in Suffolk this week, making a pilgrimage from across the country to the birthplace of the most sought-after legume in history - Mr. Peanut.
The group, avid collectors of anything bearing the Mr. Peanut image, are well versed in the story of the iconic peanut and Amedeo Obici, the founder of Planters Peanuts.
Robert Babb, a Suffolk resident and longtime Peanut Pal member, lobbied to bring the national convention here and show other members the sites they may have only heard about before.
