Jun. 21--Hamilton County commissioners approved almost $500,000 in Tennessee Methamphetamine Task Force purchases on Wednesday, but only after some questions and a call for an audit.
The purchases are paid for through federal grants that pass through Hamilton County because it is the home base for the task force, which serves all Tennessee's 95 counties. Although they are not costing the county anything, the grants have prompted numerous questions from commissioners.
