Jun. 22--Ismary Zambrano wore an expression that seemed to fall somewhere between amused and mortified.
Her husband was hot again.
On the television monitor, having raced back from the clubhouse where he had been changing his shirt, there was Carlos Zambrano, belt still off, face red, standing on the periphery of the on-field battle taking place between the Cubs and Padres.
"That's another trait he has," Ismary volunteered through a team interpreter as an interview about her husband was wrapping up. "He's ready to defend his teammates."
