Jun. 22--Work is supposed to start in the next few weeks to fix areas of chipped concrete on the bottom of the elevated West Dodge Expressway, a Nebraska Roads Department spokesman said Thursday.
Motorists might experience an occasional lane closing to fix what spokesman Karl Burns called a "cosmetic" problem. But he said no serious delays were expected.
He stressed that although the missing sections are visible to motorists, there are no structural problems and no cause for concern.
In all, there are 84 places where the concrete is chipped -- out of 1,232 locations where it could have chipped -- and the chipped ...
