Jun. 22--The Daily Telegram, Superior, Wis., Obituaries
Joseph R. Oliver, 97, resident of Harrison Street, and longtime resident of Superior, died Thursday, June 21, 2007, in St. Mary's Hospital, Superior.
Mr. Oliver was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Sept. 19, 1909, and had been a resident of Superior for most of his lifetime.
He was self-employed for 42 years in the oil business and had been a member of Cathedral of Christ the King.
Joe served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a member of the VFW Henry S. Blomberg Post, the American Legion, the United Commercial Travelers and a former member of the Superior Elks Lodge.
