The U.S. president is keen to transfer terror suspects held there - including eight Britons - to military prisons on American soil, it was reported.

He was expected to hold top-level talks with his advisers - including Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defence Secretary Robert Gates - over the future of Camp Delta, which has become a despised symbol of injustice.
