147th Field Artillery undergoing change.

Jun. 23--Although its mission remains the same, local and area units of the South Dakota National Guard's 2nd Battalion, 147th Field Artillery, will be deactivated, renamed and activated as the 1st Battalion, 147th Field Artillery, in ceremonies this week.

The flag of the Aberdeen-based Battery B of the 2nd Battalion, 147th Field Artillery, will be retired (also known as deactivation), and the unit will be reflagged as Battery A of the South Dakota National Guard's 1st Battalion, 147th Field Artillery.
