STATE Railway of Thailand (SRT) says it plans to hive-off three parts of its business to create wholly-owned subsidiaries as a precursor to their privatisation.
SRT announced that it would establish subsidiaries for property, commuter rail (including Bangkok's new Suvarnabhumi Airport Express), and Bangkok--Laem Chabang freight operations as part of its latest rehabilitation plan, which was due to be presented to the government as IRJ went to press.
