Navigation and fuzing issues impairing the performance of the Air Force's JASSM stealthy cruise missile in recent tests likely can be fixed without major design changes, and the missile's cancellation does not appear to be the best path forward, according to the service.
"The Air Force is concerned about these failures, actively addressing them, and confident the failure mechanisms can be identified and corrected," the service told Defense Daily in a written statement before the Memorial Day holiday.
