Prepared Foods' annual survey of food and beverage companies takes a look at the 65 largest public companies and the 35 largest private companies in the U.S., plus the leading 50 in Latin America and Europe.
After a couple of years of relative quiet, mergers, acquisitions and other business activity returned as big shapers of the food industry in 1994.
It seemed that no sooner had we completed our annual mid-year list of the 200 largest food and beverage TABULAR DATA OMITTED companies, which is based on 1993 sales figures, than realignments were announced that would alter the order for next year.
