Emerson to Modernize Instrumentation, Control and Electrical Subsystems on an Aggressive Schedule Critical to Meeting Poland's Electricity Needs

PITTSBURGH -- Emerson Process Management, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR), announced today that it has received a $27 million contract to modernize generating units 3 and 4 of the largest lignite-fired power plant in Europe, the Belchatow Power Plant in Poland. While the upgrade will enable the plant to meet demanding operational targets, it must be quickly returned to service in order to maintain Poland's electrical grid stability.
