Lawyers Joel and Winifred Sharp are a Central Florida power couple. But despite their clout, the estate lawyer and retired appellate judge do not rule the roost at home.
Since 1975, their forested four acres on Lake Butler -- the area's priciest waterfront -- have been besieged by a preening flock of squatters.
The Sharps are seriously hen-pecked. Make that peahen-pecked.
"Last year we had 50 peafowl with 20 babies, and that was just too much. They were always fighting and arguing," said Joel, who dotes on his flock despite their noisy ways.
