Jun. 26--For the Indians, there will never again be an era like the late 1990s -- never a time when the Browns are gone, the Cavaliers are utterly irrelevant and the economy in Northeast Ohio is roaring.
There will never be a time when Jacobs Field is brand-new again, and fans are so appreciative of a winner. The team responded with six trips to the playoffs in 1995-2001 and sold out 455 consecutive games between June 7, 1995, to April 4, 2001.
The Indians went into the game Monday night against the Oakland Athletics averaging 23,778 fans -- up 103 fans per home game over a year ago, when the Indians were 33-40 at this point ...
