Jun. 26--Kitty Hawk Aircargo, which handles close to 90 percent of the freight shipped in and out of Fort Wayne International Airport, is in a slump in the first five months of this year. The amount of freight it loads at its corporate hub in Fort Wayne is down 23 percent, and the amount it unloads is down 34 percent.
However, Kitty Hawk officials say Fort Wayne remains important in its air-freight business. "There has been an industrywide slowdown in freight.
