Article: Auditor happy with Sakhalin-1.(International)

Environmental and budgetary questions relating to the Exxon Mobil-led Sakhalin-1 production sharing agreement (PSA) have been addressed and are no longer an issue, according to the Russian State Audit Chamber, quelling fears that a simmering dispute over control of the project's gas marketing could lead to political pressure on the consortium.

"The question on whether to take another look at Sakhalin-1 is not being discussed," the chairman of Russia's Audit Chamber, Sergey Stepashin, said Thursday at a briefing on PSAs and the state budget.
