Jun. 27--It doesn't say so on the job descriptions, but if you are the baseball coach at Creighton or Nebraska, job No. 1 each year is to recruit the top players in Omaha.
And like most recruiting stories, it's usually best to wait for results on the field before a true evaluation can be made of who the best players truly are.
In 2007, evaluating the production of Omaha products -- the lifeblood of both programs -- can leave you scratching your head.
