SEOUL, June 27 (Yonhap) -- With its beautiful scenery and an exotic subtropical climate, the island of Jeju has long been a haven for newlyweds and vacationers of South Korea. It has now gained added fame from its designation as a World Natural Heritage site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Located 130 kilometers off the Korean Peninsula with an area of 1846 square kilometers, there are about 360 volcanoes on the island, with the Mount Halla providing magnificent scenery at 1,950 meters above sea level.
