In spite of efforts to increase fruit and vegetable intake to five daily servings, America's children are still falling short of the USDA recommendations for consumption.

According to a national survey sponsored by the Frozen Vegetable Council, a packer-oriented organization, children ages 6 to 17 years old average less than four daily servings of fruits and vegetables - two-and-one-half servings eaten at home and just over one serving eaten at school.
