FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. _ In explaining why his team bypassed the selection of a point guard in Thursday's NBA Draft, Heat coach Pat Riley said there was no one at No. 20 or beyond who measured up to Heat 2006-07 third-stringer Chris Quinn.
It was a typical championing of the underdog by Riley. What he really meant was there was no one at No. 20 or beyond who measured up to the absolute glut of veteran backup point guards who will be available on the cheap this offseason.
With the Grizzlies taking Mike Conley at No. 4, it has to raise questions about Damon Stoudamire there, unless Kyle Lowry is moved after just one ...
