Question I purchase healthy zinnia plants from the nursery, bring them home and plant in full sun. Within two weeks the leaves turn brown. What is the secret to growing zinnias? They are one of my favorite flowers.

A. First, switch from plants to seed and I think you'll have better results and save money. Zinnias not only need full sun but lots of breeze. Usually they get mildew in August, and especially so if they're planted where they get no wind. Brown leaves could be the result of many problems, but it sounds like a disease.
Choose a different place to plant them next year. If leaves start to turn brown, spray ...
