Jul. 2--Doug Pharr just can't seem to catch a break. The Victoria calf roper's second go-round calf in Greeley, Colo., did not stayed tied for the required six seconds, he totally missed his calf in Cody, Wyo., and he broke the barrier for a 10-second penalty Sunday during slack at Livingston, Mont.
"My whole crew had the same thing happen to them," Pharr said about his brother Tim, Tyson Dufrey and Stran Smith breaking the barrier.
The calves had been to one other rodeo, and some would break hard from the chute and some wouldn't, Pharr said.
