Jul. 2--One of the hippest happenings in town was The Warhol Wig Out on Thursday. The "wig out" celebrated the opening of Andy Warhol's Dream America exhibit, open now through Sept. 9 at the Toledo Museum of Art.
Andy Warhol, known for his artistic renderings of everyday items from soup cans to Coca-Cola and his shock of white hair, was the spirit of the party. Guests in retro wear channeled that eclectic spirit, even down to the wigs -- of every color and style -- that rode in atop their heads.
The food -- minisliders, fried macaroni and cheese, and peanut butter and jelly finger sandwiches -- fit into the 1960s, when ...
