LONDON - Rose Marie Bravo will bid a final farewell to Burberry Group plc on July 1, when she steps down from the board and resigns her role as vice chairman.

Bravo became vice chairman last July, after retiring as chief executive. She remained with the company as vice chairman to help ensure the smooth transition of her successor, Angela Ahrendts.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of Burberry over the past 10 years, and I am confident that Angela and her team will continue to lead Burberry to even greater success," said Bravo in a statement Wednesday.
