Jul. 1--HIGH COST OF FIGHTING CRIME IS APPRECIATED: It's been a good week on the crime-fighting front.
Here's to many more of them.
It's comforting to see local, state and federal officials working together to curtail a violent gang with the arrests of some of its leaders.
It's positive to see more than two dozen members of a prominent local gang wearing jailhouse orange as they're paraded into court.
It's visionary to see the commitment to law enforcement exhibited by members of the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors when approving a 2007-08 budget.
