New Facility to Create Hundreds of New Full-Time Jobs

SEATTLE -- To support growing customer demand in North America, Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) today announced plans to open a new fulfillment center operated by Amazon.com.azdc, Inc. in Phoenix, Ariz., during the third quarter of 2007. The new facility will be approximately 600,000 square feet, making it one of the larger Amazon fulfillment centers in North America. The new facility will create up to 300 full-time positions this year, with an additional 1,000 - 1,300 temporary jobs during the 2007 holiday season.
