Q. Is it OK to mix two shades of hair color to get exactly what I want? I'm looking for a warm brown, but judging by the color pictures on the packaging, the browns are either too red or too ashy.
A. You can mix colors from the same line, although it may take a little experimenting to get the exact shade you want. However, you're courting disaster if you try mixing colors from different product lines.
