Customise Windows Explorer
Here are three quick ways to customise Vista's Explorer
Display all file and folder information
To configure Windows Explorer so that it also displays file extensions for known file types, choose Organise/Folder and Search Options and select the View tab. Go to Advanced Settings and in the Files and Folders section uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types'. Expert users can also configure the Explorer so it displays hidden files, folders and system directories. To do this, turn off the option 'Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)' and ...
