Article: NBR ask banks provide A/C info of 52 individuals, 10 companies.

Dhaka, July 5 (UNB) - National Board of Revenue (NBR) has asked the commercial banks to provide information on the accounts of 52 individuals -- businessmen and politicians as well as their family members.

The NBR also sought similar information on 10 companies, mostly owned by the individuals, on suspicion that they have evaded huge amount of income tax.

The banks, which received the NBR notices today (Thursday), have been asked for information from July 2001 to the latest printout of the accounts by July 12.
