One potato, two potato ...
A bumper crop of potato salad recipes (close to 50) came our way when we asked readers to share their favorites for summertime dining.
Traditional creamy potato salads, tumbled with chopped, hard-boiled eggs, dressed with mayonnaise and spiked with a little mustard, vinegar or pickle relish, dominated the submissions.
But there also were some more adventurous versions, including a couple "mashed" potato salads, a "loaded" baked potato salad to be enjoyed warm or cold, German potato salad, Italian potato salad, Middle Eastern potato salad, Southern-style potato salad, ...
