Jul. 4--MEADVILLE -- A Florida-based entrepreneur with local ties has an interest in developing an alternative fuel from things that sprout out of the Crawford County soil.
County officials have an interest in helping him succeed.
But what neither has at this point is the chemistry to support Nick Damasceno's idea of producing ethanol from a mixture of switchgrass, sugar beets and other materials, county Planning Director Jack Lynch said.
