Jul. 6--Lauderdale Lakes Commissioner Hazelle Rogers, arguably the most high-profile Caribbean-American elected official in Broward County, has her eyes on a seat in the Legislature.
Rogers will announce her candidacy for House District 94 on Saturday, at an 11 a.m. news conference at Lauderdale Lakes City Hall. Her entrance into the race could shake up politics in the Caribbean-American community, political observers said.
