Jul. 8--HUDSON -- Along U.S. Highway 20 on the border of Hudson and Cedar Falls lie acres of farm ground that could potentially become prime real estate for commercial or industrial development.
Some property owners, realizing that fate for their land, have approached Cedar Falls officials regarding annexation into the city.
In recent years Cedar Falls has expanded toward its southern border with a growing industrial park and commercial development cropping up along U.S. 20. Further advance, though, is stopped by the four-lane highway and the fact that the other side of the road lies within the Hudson city limits.
