Overlooking the championship golf course at the award-winning Vale Hotel Golf & Spa Resort is La Cucina, the resort's AA rosette- accredited Mediterranean style restaurant.
Although it's got all the boxes ticked, I've still always been slightly nervous when it comes to restaurants associated in any way with hotels.
I don't know whether it's the thought of entering into a soulless atmosphere full of men in suits dining on their expense accounts or just the fact that I'd never managed to get past the fact that I'm in a hotel and not a "proper" restaurant.
