Bob and Dot Parrish knew there was a hotel out there somewhere, but the rain and nickel-sized hail were falling so thick and fiercely that they couldn't see the hood of their spiffy 1957 Chevy convertible. Welcome to Burlington, Vt.
The deluge diminished after about five minutes and the hotel became visible right across the street. It was a welcome sight at the end of the first leg of a recent antique car club tour that brought 130 vintage cars from the 1950s and '60s to Burlington. There were cars from all over the East Coast.
