Cathy Goeke and Jenny Cannon attend Christ the King Catholic Church in Norfolk, but the two diverge on the Vatican's impending move to allow more use of the old Latin Mass .
"The Latin Mass is a step in the wrong direction," said Goeke, 45 . The mother of three said young Catholics needed "something a little more progressive" than the old Mass.
But Cannon, 50 , looks forward to having the option.
"The Latin Mass is beautiful - I grew up in it," said Cannon who, like Goeke, said she isn't fluent in Latin.
